The 5K course is TAC/USA certified (GA90028WN)
If you are serious competitor, a novice, or just want to challenge yourself, the 5K distance is just right. Five kilometers is just over three miles. You can prepare to run or walk this distance without too much training. The 5K course wanders through a great small-town neighborhood. The terrain is fairly flat, but offers three challenging hills to break the boredom.
Caution: Save some energy for the last few hundred yards. It's known as Heartbreak Hill.
Three-deep age group awards: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Cash awards are given to the top three overall and masters female and male.
